Dear Friends of Catholic Charities,
Sometimes the manger scene says it all...
As we try to respond to the needs of so many individuals and families who have struggled with job loss and poverty because of the COVID-19 pandemic, we are reminded that homeless and poverty were also challenges to Joseph, Mary and the newborn Christ child. The manger scene is a reminder that even our Holy Family had need of food, clothing, and shelter...and the manger scene reminds us of how a faith and hope-filled community responded with generosity and love.
Christmas is the time of year when we think of the ways we can bring the light of Christ into our world. Light shines in every act of compassion and caring. Light shines each time we tell our loved ones that they are special and that they are loved. Living in the light is a call to be attentive to the needs of others. Isn’t that the profound message of Christmas? The birth of the Infant Savior leads us to that place within us where patience, understanding, gratitude and compassion dwell.
As you have so generously in the past, please consider sharing your resources with your brothers and sisters in need during this beautiful season...making a generous gift that have a big impact on those unfortunate folks that our agency serves throughout the year.
Every Dollar Counts!
Here is what your gift can do:
Yes, the manger scene says it all!
Catholic Charities needs your gift so we can continue to share and spread the light of compassion to each individual and family who comes to our doors. Wishing you and your loved ones a Blessed Christmas season and a peaceful New Year!
